It has been 10 days that I have had my Laser Machine. When it arrived I did not know what to expect. Some online comments describe receiving there machines with significant damage. After uncreating the only thing wrong with my machine was one rubber foot came off during transit and I screwed the foot back on. I inspected every bolt and wire connection. Nothing was broken, lose or missing. I read the manual, looked over the software and watched several videos on youtube. After a couple of days I was confident I could create a programed and run my machine. I am very pleased with the quality of everything I received. This is a very high quality product at a very competitive price, crated so it could be shipped halfway around the world and be delivered to my house and arrive in excellent condition. The machine and software is easy to use and I am sure I will get many years of service out of it. Read full review

For those looking to get started with a hobby machine that they can learn on without breaking the bank if something needs replaced, it's worth the buy. The manual will give you more headache than help with most things, and the software isn't the most user friendly. Coreldraw is great for the image files, though it doesn't like to run the laser itself. I was disappointed it didn't come with the power controlled table, but it seems not every model comes with all the same stuff. Invest in a small air compressor, since the one that is included doesn't do well with longer jobs (over 15 minutes). Plan on swapping the air line hose too (cheap and easy fix at Home Depot or Lowes). It will make a lot of difference. There are some great YouTube videos that will help you get setup and running easy enough. The rotary attachment is clunky at best, but again some minor tweaks sort it out. Overall ok for a hobby box.Read full review

Product came quickly. Well packed on pallet. Everything starts up fine, and laser was reasonably adjusted. I'm sure the learning curve will be steep, figuring out the software and manual. Manual and software shows clear signs of being authored by non-native English speakers. Looks to me like sufficient and good hardware although if I'm dubious about the included software and manual it is an excellent value. Price for power and features cannot be beat. I would buy again.

Not easy to get it going, the air assist did not work traced to unsoldered spots on the back on the junction board, also water error traced to pinched hose on the air switch that had to be fixed by rerouting and resizing hoses. Manual unreadable, joined user group that has a corrected manual.

I did a good bit of research before settling on the blue and white 50 watt laser cutter. First of all it uses a Ruida controller and so can run RDWorks. The bonus about RDWorks is that there is a wealth of information on Youtube on running this model laser with RDWorks. For the price, I think this is an amazing machine. My machine came in a little over a week after I ordered it. I live on the East Coast. I chose the residential, lift-gate delivery which was important because the machine in its crate is big and the box weighs over 200 lbs. It arrived in perfect condition. We uncrated it in the front yard and then my son and I carried it down to the basement where my workshop is. I built a table with wheels to rest it on so that I could get to the back easily. I set up the water pump and reservoir, hooked up the air pump and tubes, and checked out all the parts to make certain everything was in good shape. The only issue I found was that the receptacles for AIR and WATER pumps had their labels reversed. That was an easy fix. Once I got to know my way around the machine I loaded a file, turned on the air and water pumps, and did a couple of sample cuts on 5 mm plywood from Home Depot. Perfect! For someone used to using a CNC router for milling wood, I was really impressed with the narrowness and cleanness of the cut. I was surprised at how little power I needed to cut through the 5 MM. Just 40% at 20 mm per second. I had been reading about some users who were overdriving their machines running them at 85 or 90% and how that can drastically shorten the life of the tube so I wanted to be careful with my settings. I am really impressed with this laser cutter. I had been looking at a Glowforge but read about the significant limitations of the somewhat closed ecosystem of that model and the limitations on the Z axis. Also this was easily a thousand dollars less that the base model Glowforge. Learning RDWorks (which comes with the machine) is important but not difficult. Knowing Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw and an image editing program like Photoshop are also important. One thing that threw me for a little while was that in RDWorks you can save a project (saves with a RDL extension) but the files that drive the laser cutter have an RD extension and you save them by going to bottom right hand corner of the software and choosing "SavetoUFile". That creates a different file that gets copied over to the laser cutter on a thumb drive (or directly if you have your machine directly connected by USB to your computer. In summary, I love this laser cutter. It give me capabilities that I don't have with my 3D printer or CNC router. I am brand new to it (but not to laser cutting) so I still have some time to work out its limitations and quirks. For now, I highly recommend it. Read full review
