Pretty good Cross Bars for low price
Not going to lie, the pros outweigh the cons. I read a review that the short bar goes on the front portion but after doing so, I noticed for me (2014 Jeep Compass) that the long bar fit in the front and the short bar in the rear position. The paint is easy to scuff so be careful when you are assembling the pieces. Overall I’m impressed with the look and the price of these cross bars. I’m going to mount either a basket or a bike mount soon so I should find out if they are really that great or not.

Installation issues
There were absolutely No Installation Instructions with this roof rack, and while both sets of the plastic attachment racks had labels pointing to "FRONT", the rear attachments had to be turned to point to the rear to fit properly. It took me a while to figure this out as the attachment holes on the factory side rails are offset up and down and the roof rack attachment are likewise.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I bought this kit for a 2013 Jeep Compass Sport. As stated by another reviewer, there are no installation instructions included wit this kit. That doesn't mean that you need the recommended professional installation, though. Here are some key things to keep in mind: The bars are different lengths. Shorter bar is for the front. Longer bar is for the back. The arrows point to the front of the vehicle for the front bar and to the back of the vehicle for the back bar. You will want to use your own allen wrench or bit for installation. The one I received with the kit didn't make it through the fourth bolt before it became unusable. All-in-all, it took maybe 45 minutes total for installation and that was including th time it took to get a better wrench. For the money paid, I'm very pleased with the product so far. The fit is nice. Everything lines up perfectly. Can't complain about the value with this purchase!

Did not fit 2014 Jeep Compass
This didn’t fit. I had to shave the plastic brackets with a dremel so it would fit over the rails (the car came new with them, so standard). Other areas had gaps and I had to fill them in with rubber to make the set up more stable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
