Most of the material on this album, such as "The Whore, the Cook, and the Mother" and "Under your Wings and into your Arms" showcase a new range of melody for My Dying Bride, as well as a more simplistic and groove heavy approach that suits them rather well. Other tracks, like "Heroin Chic" give off a club vibe to go with the doom metal guitar playing. I love listening to this album when I'm zoning out or reading, but a few tracks also give me some headbanging good fun. All in all, a good, if not fantastic, work for My Dying Bride, though some of the songs could benefit from some more creativity.
Love this album! One of my all time favorite bands, This is one band that I love every album! Highly recommend!
