There's just one problem: Freed has no idea who Johnny is and must launch an exhaustive search to find him as the record gets massive airplay. Sandy Stewart co-stars, with early rock greats Chuck Berry, Jackie Wilson, Ritchie Valens, Eddie Cochran, and more, appearing-and performing-as themselves.
Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Richie Valens and other rock'n'roll idols of the'50s hosted by great deejay Allen Freed
This is an excellent period Rock'n'Roll movie. There's a thin story holding it together as an excuse to see performances by Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Richie Valens and other stars of the late '50s. As a bonus you get the deejay credited with coining the term rock'n'roll in Allen Freed and Chuck Berry with lines of dialogue! The other surprise was the high picture quality of this transfer. If you are into this period of rock'n'roll the DVD is highly recommended.
I loved the movie but the music acts make it stand out, I highly recommend that if you like original stars of Rock 🎸 & Roll music in it's infancy you need to own this movie, this is before VH 1 & American Bandstand & get to witness Rock 🎸🎸 & Roll stars⭐ in their prime
great 50's movie with songs by chuck berry, ritchie valens only movie performance, eddie cochran and many others. Plus the story line of the film is better than most such movies. Worth the purchase.
