Outstanding book of another era
Well written story about a period in time when it was uncommon for a man to raise 2 children alone. Racial equality was unheard of in a southern small town. It's a story of family love, children growing and understanding what love one another really means. Mischievous children experiencing new found friendship during school summer break.
