This Hulk Hogan double feature is absolutely enjoyable, if you can pass the following requirements: 1. great sense of humor is a must 2. you have to like Hulk Hogan 3. you must love the 80's/early 90's style 4. your inner child is very much alive and kicking If you qualify all 4 conditions, then you will like this alot. Although you cannot expect Hulk Hogan to be as funny as Jack Black or Martin Lawrence, but at the same time Hulk Hogan has a special charm that the (at least the) action actors of today are completely alien to. He also keeps true to his traditional 80's and WWF bravado style, which you can only appreciate if you like it, and that means you have to like the 80's/early 90's. There are alot of funny moments in both movies, if your sense of humor is good enough, and although the two films are very different, - each has its own distinct ways of making you laugh and arise the sweet nostalgia in the shape of Hulk Hogan and the supporting cast which perfectly plays along. (oh yeah, i claim that these movies will appeal more to the grown ups, than the kids. The people who spent their teens in the 80's or the 90's most likely) I will also add that in "Mr. Nanny" Hulk Hogan did a much better job than the action stars who tried this part years before AND after him and it seems that he can really get into all scenes of action-comedy. It looks as if he truly likes the genre. Plus, the kids and everyone else were great. Suburban Commando is another kind of fun scenario,(it's kinda similar to the idea exploited in Crocodile Dundee, but with the Hulk and sci-fi elements), and it will not disappoint you either, bet on it, - that is if you qualify the requirements which i mentioned in the very beginning. Otherwise, if you are completely alien to all this 80's/90's, Hulk Hogan and stuff, then i'd suggest to leave it alone. Watch some Harry Potter or something. I would gladly recommend this to anyone who falls into the right category :) Recommend to my friends? Hell Yeah!Read full review
This is one of my favorite movies. We wore out the VHS tape and I was delighted to get the DVD! It's a comedy that the whole family can enjoy and it's all good clean fun. I especially like seeing Hulk Hogan comforting children, teaching them life lessons, and bringing a grieving, too busy dad back into his kids lives. The villain is too over the top for me, but my young teens really thought he was great. I recommend this video to anyone looking for a good family night. Invite the grandparents, grab the kids, turn off the phone, confiscate the hand held games, pop some corn, and settle in for a fun evening.
exactly as advertised, disk in great shape, plays fine, good shipping time
