I bought this unit as a replacement for the aging Lowrance Hook 5” on the front of my bass boat thinking if it was that good i may upgrade the elite 7 at the helm to a helix 8 or 9. The powerful features the helix g3 has are spectacular. And though you cant fine tune it as much as lowrance, ive found you really dont need too. The sensitivity and visual quality are amazing and i love the ability to create custom maps. Very well worth the small price tag.
