This meter surprised me in it's quality and features. Even the meter leads were of high quality. The illumination stays on instead of shutting off in 10 seconds which I always found useless. A Good, Basic Digital Multimeter.
For a low priced product, this meter performs very well with plenty of range and accuracy. The test leads are provided and of good quality as is the meter. Instructions are useful, too. Display is easy to read and fairly large. Switch seems rugged and durable. 9 Volt battery is easy to replace after removing the blue rubber boot. Can’t beat it for the price.
I needed a multimeter that was useful I, had longer probs, and could test circuits. This meter does that. Additionally, it uses a nine volt battery that is easy to find and replace. The extended probe surface is beneficial to get into tight troubleshooting areas which is nice. It does everything it is supposed to do. I've used these before and the 2 I just received were shrink wrapped from the factory. I tested one and it's working fine so I expect the 2nd one to be fine as well. good product, other than having screw loose!
OK, so overall these are a good product, but there was an issue with one of two I bought. Somehow during assembly at the factory the worker dropped an extra screw under the circuit board and that screw had jammed the rotary switch. Once I removed the circuit board and then removed the extra loose screw, everything functioned just fine. All the other assembly screws were in place so this one was an extra that just came along for the ride. Someone less technically inclined might have taken issue with this situation, but it was no big deal for me since it was such a simple fix.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Would be nice to have a timed auto shutdown to save battery if you forget to turn it off. Would help to have a button for on and off instead of having to turn nob to off. battery included
i think that in an earlier review i said there was no battery included - i was wrong, it was inside the meter. someone had torn the wrapper off the battery and a small piece of the wrapper remained and prevented the meter from working and i just assumed that there was no battery. my mistake, i am sorry for the confusion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
