NEC means quality, superb design, and expensive.
This monitor might not have the highest specs (can only think of refresh rate which is 60 Hz and competition has gaming monitors up to 120 Hz or maybe more), everything else is up on top of the pack (OK maybe its not IPS, not sure, but I don't need that).
The design seems to be made for optimal use with laptops that use USB C for everything, including video. I use it with my PC, and the USB hub on the monitor for me is useful to charge devices, in fact even if in theory you can use it to communicate, when I connect my phone the PC sees it as the monitor trying to communicate, not the phone, and the phone doesn't detect the PC so it doesn't offer the choices of charge/transfer/etc.
Everything is configurable in the extensive menu. Including the light sensor, and the proximity sensor.
Performance is outstanding, both colors and image. Quality is also up there, no flaws.
