Mine works good! It is very powerful, even on low speed. The base is very big so that, even though made of plastic, it will not tip over. I'm sorry to hear others have had problems. Now we'll see how long it lasts. But even if only for one season, $37 per year is not a bad price to pay, compared to air conditioning. I have another Lasko fan, a big window fan, that has done heavy duty for many years and is still going strong. My only regret this time is that I got the electronic controls rather than the manual control. You have to be directly across from the fan for it to work; also, electronic devices have a tendency to wear out quickly. So we'll see.

Fan works great, but, I received it with a broken oscillating button. It will work with pliers but I don't care about the oscillating part. The plastic fan blades all needed to be bent a little because they hit the fan cover when starting. They are fine now.

We had this model for years and ours finally broke the plastic that makes is rotate around so had to buy a new fan and this is only fan I will buy. Great for people like me that is in bed a lot and has a remote that helps for turning up speed or lowering it and turning on and off.

I have always purchased Lasko fans. They are great quality and last a long time. I live in Florida and it is always on. Quiet but enough to help you sleep if you need fan noise like me. Easy to clean. Highly recommend.
