End caps do nothing.
Only need it for 1 time use so it should be fine... end lock caps are just for show, they literally just pull right off with little effort. The OEM part is designed to hold the rubber top in place with the end caps, but this copy part came with double sided tape to keep the rubber in place... there is no chance that a half an inch of double sided tape will keep the rubber strip on with highway speeds. I am just going to wrap some tape around the end caps to be safe ... 1/4 the price of OEM part and I only need it for 1 trip. One rail was labeled front, but it was actually the back one.
