Perfect for enhancing your Taurus Judge Public Defender
I simply love my new Taurus .45cal/.410 Ga. Public Defender with the composite frame however, as all of the countless reviews I read had indicated, the factory grip is way too small. That said, I was very pleased to discover and install this one that I purchased on Ebay. It fits the firearm perfectly and allows for a much better grip while shooting. It was a bit stiff to get it to install over the guns frame assembly however, I simply used a small amount of gun oil to assist in allowing it to slide over the frame housing itself. I can't underscore how nice it looks and how it allows for a more pleasant shooting experience while at the firing range. I certainly recommend it if you own a Judge.

be sure to order the correct one (there are models for the Steel frame and one for the Polymer) easy to install.* These grips are at least 30% larger in width and definitely longer. The fit and feel is perfect. It's like a whole new revolver. The added ability to hold while shooting and handling is outstanding. I often carry the Taurus Judge polymer in my waist band using an inside the waistband holster and even with the additional overall size of these grips compared the the smaller factory grips --- these still fit very comfortable and didn't bind, pinch or bother me in any way. I would definitely recommend --100% sure of that. ** there's one hex head screw in bottom of frame, remove the old grip and press the new Pachmayr onto the frame firmly and install the hex head screw. Makes Your Judge a Much Better Gun
This made my Taurus Judge (Poly Public Defender) much more comfortable & manageable to hold & shoot. The OEM grip on the defender is too small for me not only for holding & aiming but particularly for getting off any kind of reliable follow-up shot. While the grip does make it a bit larger for concealed carry, it makes it perfect for a trail gun to be holstered. I highly recommend this grip. Excellent grip!
This grip makes the PD Poly usable for me. The stubby little "ribber" grip from Taurus is just too small, even for me with my small hands. This Pachmayer grip is perfect for making the Poly comfortable and controllable. No problem getting my pinkie to fit on the grip, giving me a, all-fingers on the gun grip. Awesome upgrade
Always wanted one of these guns but had never shot one or held one. Academy had them on sale so I bought one. The first thing I noticed when he handed me the gun was how small and dinky the grip was. Took it home shot it one time with a 410 shell and loved the gun but hated the grip. Found this pachmayer grip on line and saw that it had nothing but good reviews so thought I'd try it and it lived up to the great reviews and my hopes. Very good addition
I had no problem in installing the grip. The addition of more finger grooves helps in holding the gun. The neat thing I like is not the grip is in scale with the gun. Good grip for my gun
This grip is a pretty good replacement for the standard grip on my Taurus Public Defender Poly. Much more comfortable. I do wish it fit just a bit better at the trigger guard, but that is a minor gripe.
