  • Make sure your furnace uses a 80 Volt and not a 120 volt Igniter.

This is a good igniter. But pay attention to what voltage igniter you need for YOUR furnace. Mine had a IGN00145 installed but was the wrong one. I needed a 120 Volt for my Trane and these 80 volts will not live long. Not the sellers fault. My last repair tech installed the 80 volt igniter and it did last for 4 years. So some Trane use a 80 volt IGN00145 and others use a 120 volt Q3200U. Again, not the sellers fault for me ordering the wrong unit. The Unit the seller sent is a good unit.

  • BEWARE OF CONNECTOR AND QUALITY

Beware, the original connector is female, this one comes with male pins. I had to change out connectors (cannibalized and soldered a connector from an old bad igniter that I luckily saved) and use it anyway because I was going out of the country for a couple of weeks and didn't have time to return and order a different igniter. (I only ordered it as a precaution so my furnace wouldn't go out while I was gone.) Installed, worked fine, but only lasted 60 days. Luckily I saved my original good igniter as this one went out on Christmas Day!! I put the original back in and the furnace took right off. Now will have to spend another $35 to $50 but it will be on an original Trane igniter. Since I changed the connector, that voided the return policy (if it is even valid for 60 days). This is the correct 80V 00145 igniter (as was my original), so yes, the part is right, but unless I received a single defective one, the quality is very bad.

  • Critical spare.

Just as expected, ordered as a spare. Seems to last 3 to 5 years.
