I've been looking for this for a while now and finally found one on ebay. It brings me back to the good old days. One of the best classic games!

Great game in the street fighter series. Only drawbacks is the slow down and the sound coulda been a little better. Heck, street fighter 2 had better sound!

Basically, this game is awesome. As a fan of the series, I really enjoyed this particular release of Street Fighter II, since it contained some really important changes over the previous game releases (Street Fighter, SF II: The World Warrior, SF II: Championship Edition, SF II: Turbo, etc.). All returning Street Fighter characters have some new moves in this release, and 4 new characters are introduced. In addition, when compared to the original Street Fighter II for Super Nintendo, the computer-automated opponents don't use fighting patterns that are quite as predictable, so the whole game is a bit more difficult. Certain characters that were easy to dominate in the first Street Fighter II, like Chun-Li, Blanka, and Vega, are now considerably harder to defeat, with Chun-Li arguably seeing the most improvement (she throws fireballs in Super SF II). This U.S. release of Super Street Fighter II for SNES is usually a little bit more expensive and harder to find than its Super Famicom counterpart, so if you're really interested in this game but want to save a few bucks, go ahead and buy the Japanese Super Famicom edition of Super Street Fighter II. Just keep in mind you will need to modify a U.S. SNES game system to accommodate the Japanese cartridges. It's an easy mod, though. Great game, and if you can get it for under $20, even better.Read full review
Dead or alive? nah. Virtua Fighter? Ughhh. Tekken? that game sucks. Mortal Kombat? close... but i consider Super Street Fighter II to be the greatest fighting game ever made. The characters were unique, and each had their own strengths and weaknesses. The game is simple, yet incredibly deep. Anybody can pick up a controller and play enjoyably, but it takes ALOT of practice to master a certain characters moves. The combo system was unrivaled at the time, and still holds up. The mini-games were always fun! smashing cars down to the frame never felt so good. The 2d graphics are timeless, and never seem outdated. 3d games lose their luster once the next bigger and better system comes out, but most SNES games (the good ones) hold up even till now. This game was released in "HD" on the 360 recently, and i must say the game was impressive, and it was a good port, but im very dissapointed with the 360's D-pad. its very mushy and too hard to pull off certain moves because it does not register it correctly. Al in all you can pick up a SNES and this game on ebay for less than the price of a 360 or PS3 game, and i highly recommend both!Read full review
One of the true classic fighting games and also one of the best. For me this game represents a turning point in fighting games in general. With Mortal Kombat II, another title for all hardcore fans of fighting games, Both made a huge difference in the video game industry and in terms of fighting systems. I sure recommend it to anyone who want to revive the old school feeling.
A great upgrade from The regular SFII and SFII Turbo, Incorporated new characters as well as the turbo feature. The sounds are more profound and the graphics are even better then I remember from the Arcade days. A must have for any nostalgic Arcade fighter lover. Brings back a lot of memories. =o)

I had this game previously, but lost it about 10yrs ago, so buying it again brings back good memories. The gameplay is excellent! For a second, you'll forget your playing a Super Nintendo. Its a great game, cool characters, and a good story mode. I recommend it for anyone who is curious to give it a try. Once you start it becomes slightly addictive, almost like a drug. Once again, Super Street Fighter II Hits Classics Best!!(:
