I bought this book for college (mechanical engineering) and i find it very useful. I almost don't need a teacher to learn the course "heat transfer". I'm studying in French and I don't find it difficult to understand everything in this book. I just need sometimes a dictionary for understanding some few words. The concepts are clearly explained and the important equations and text are highlighted already. If you take the time to read the theory and then do some exercises you should get a good grade in a course "heat transfer". At college I was obligated to buy this book. There's a US version and another version distributed outside North America. The book cost is 150$ without taxes and I paid 75$ for a foreign version book with shipping included. The book I recieved is identical (same print quality and colors, same text, same, exercises, same tables). The only differences are the cover, the page numbers for the appendix and the cd-rom. The cover has another picture and is a thin softcover, the appendix are numbered A-1, A-2... instead of numbers and there is no cd-rom included in this version. I don't know if you can call this a review but I wanted to give my opinion about this great book.Read full review
I began to take an engineering course: Heat Transfer. The book assigned for the course was "Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer" by Incropera, 6th edition. This book was like the one of the 5th edition, because of the color and and the cover. Fortunately, it was the 6th edition, but with softcover and blue and yellow, not yellow and red as it was in the picture. It is the same book I needed. It is a good book for understanding the heat transfer processes we have seen in our daily life. There is another reason, I bought this book through ebay for almost $130 less than in the library. I liked this book, and it was the one I needed. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a cheaper version.
The book has been fairly easy to read and very informative. It adds to the notes that have been given in the class. I have also seen the binder version of the books, which are also a great resource and are a good alternative. they allow you to carry only the parts of the book that you may need at one time. Overall, this has been a good book.
For an engineering book, it is surprisingly well written. It Explains concepts very well, has findable and readable charts of necessary equations. My only complaint would be the color scheme, only two colors of ink were used in printing, black and a red/pink color. It gets old after a while.

This book is great. The author explains the material in detail, but in a way that can be understood. The examples are detailed and often relate to real world cases. This book is easy to read and very informative.
It is a decently written textbook. I bought it for a class so I can't say i would recommend it for any one that doesn't need it for a class.

I bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.
This book is really good, clear and easy to understand. As a student, i recommend buying it, exercices are also good!
