When HP designed this mid-range printer, they did so with an obvious eye to simplicity of use and durability of manufacturing. This printer is so easy to use, upgrade, and maintain that the only drawback I can think of is that it's only monochrome. Beyond that, they just work flawlessly. At 25 pages a minute and resolutions of up to 1200 dpi, dual personalities (PostScript and Printer Control Language [PCL]) this will hand just about everything a workgroup would need. Combine all that with the fact that remanufactured cartridges are available for less than $20 each and you have a win.

The slightly older HP printers are still the best bang for the buck, in my opinion. You can get parts and they are able to be fixed instead of thrown away. I've not bought a new printer in 30 years. Only used and refurbished.

It's a good sturdy workhorse, it features high quality graphics, good speed, and toner cartridges are readily available at decent prices. With a network card it is capable of being placed anywhere for usage.
One of the gretest printer ever made by HP. Very happy with its performance and quality. I highly recommend it to anyone. It can out perform most printers.
