There are songs that have an almost fusional sound of Steve Morse (from Kansas, the the Dixie Dreggs) imbedded within a Paice, Gillian, Glover foundation, with keybordist Dan Airey, with the still bold Deep Purple sound from the core. Morse is a worthy addition or replacement for the band. Morse adds, an undertone of his musical influence to this good to excellent album. Airey on the otherhand, adds influence and style to bands that have similarities to the classic early heavy metal of Deep Purple, having played with such iconis as Sabbath, Ozzy, Blackmore's Rainbow, and other bands such as Jethro Tull.... This album, is the best of DP8, and one of the best overall as far as Deep Purple has gone in the last 40 years.
This is deep Purples best album since their 70`s heyday. This is rock the way it should be. They managed to preserve there classic sound over the years. This is great compared to the new style of rock today a must have for any classic rock and roll fan.
RICHIE Blackmore once quuestionen Ian's Vocals. I question Richies integrity. I flew to Detroit to se Deep Purple in august of 2015. excellent to say the least. BOC opened up for DP. worth every penny of flight hotrl room an concert tickets. Richie should have thought twice. glad he didn't. STeve is a much better guitarist witha a better personality and performance.
