"NiBiRu Age of Secrets" was developed by Unknown Identity, the same Czech company who had created a popular adventure game "Black Mirror". This time, the story is set in today, and the protagonist Martin Holan (that's you) is sent to Bohemia by his uncle to investigate secret underground tunnels excavated by Nazi Germany during the World War II. Upon arrival in Prague, however, the sinister force that wants to prevent Martin from discovering the secrets is already at work, and his contact in Prague turns up dead in her apartment. As Martin goes about overcoming various obstacles (not least of which is bureaucratic stonewalling) with ingenuous solutions (as we have seen in the game Black Mirror) in his adventure, it gradually emerges that the Nazi Germany's secret research may be related to ancient Mayan civilization and extraterrestrials... The game is a third-person point and click, and you can get up to speed on the game navigation in no time. The graphics are even better than the previous game. If you've never been to Prague, play this game and you get the very good idea how it looks like. However, movement of the characters is just as bad. I strongly recommend turning on the subtitle option, as the game is full of people who speak English with a heavy (fake) accent (to give the game a Continental European atmosphere, I guess.) It sounds as if one person is doing the voice acting for several characters in the game, and it is often hard to distinguish between different speakers. Voice acting is only marginally better and there are some interesting usage and pronunciations of English words and phrases. But they won’t kill the fun of the game. The game is rated Teen, but there are some explicit violent scenes (up close with a corpse, for example). The puzzles in the game often require you to think outside your normal thinking and behavior, just like in Black Mirror. However, toward the end there are several puzzles that either simply defy the logic or are the result of mistranslation or misunderstanding by the developer. Compared to "Black Mirror", the storyline is rather incredible and not as tightly constructed. It seems to unravel about 2/3 of the way through. I've given the rating of 4/5, but it is more like 3.5/5 because of familiarity and similarity to the previous game, and rather loose puzzles and storyline. The game is still very enjoyable, and it's worth playing just to see those beautiful graphics. The next challenge for the developer may be to come up with a game with a different look and feel with a tighter story. And of course better voice acting, if that can be managed...Read full review
I'm a huge fan of point-and-click adventure games and this game was a great pleasure for me to play. I can't say that it is perfect especially in terms of the storyline I expected something more mysterious and mind blowing from the game with such a big and interesting title as NIBIRU! But in terms of the gameplay I enjoyed it a lot! The game has a good soundtrack, interesting characters and locations! The voiceover is also good at least the main character's voice is not irritating. I give it 8/10

The graphics are good for the early 2000's, but the best part is the terrible voice acting. The many gems of awful voice acting make this game well worth purchasing.

This game was only average because, week clues, poor ending, and lame storyline. The game had good graphics and some neat things,(the tying of explosives to a rat was amusing). To loosely quote Fred Sanford "don't buy it, don't buy it, dummy". Hey was that an alien or what?!
This is the best pc puzzle game i have ever played. The puzzles made you use your skills, but were not so hard that you were continuously stuck in the game. I recommend this game to anyone who loves puzzle, adventure type games.
