As good an AV receiver as you will find for any price. Yamaha makes honest audio equipment.
This is a fantastic receiver, not dated at all, in fact I have to say it is the best of old and new. Very robust design and the sound is incredible. What turns this AV receiver into the best of old is the Pure Direct button on the front. Press that button and you have a perfect, clean, simple amp preamp set up. It works like a preamp with just a volume control it even turns off all the display info to eliminate even that source of interference to pure signal. A great deal of effort has gone into this receiver to make it a great AV receiver as well as a great stereo one. If you need a great stereo set-up as well as an AV set-up in the living area you will not do better than this thing. Just get one with remote, finding a remote can be expensive and the after market ones are terrible and really do not work for most functionality, while the OEM one is fantastic and very robust, big buttons well spaced and marked.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
