I wish I'd read more reviews before buying the book. don't get me wrong..I generally love Chicken soup series. That's why I thought this one would be a perfect partner when I kickstart my business. It's just not what I hoped it to be. The entrepreneurs' stories are interesting, no doubt, but the way the narrative is laid out - it simply wasn't motivational for me at all! It's so flat 'and then I did that to achieve blah blah; in 10 years we grew our business in one of the most successful in this field...' I wanted to know more personal struggles, doubts or sacrifices that I found in other Chicken soup books.. more meat:) So I'm a bit disappointed..but other than that, a fine and easy read for summer, if you're interested in entrepreneurial life..

While the other reviewer said this book was different than other Chicken Soup books and gave it a low score, that's what I love about it! It's not mushy and will make you cry like other books; if you're truly walking, or wanting to walk, that path to success--especially if you're a business person like me--than you'll absolutely love it! There's inspiring stories from Paula Deen, Cookie Lee, John Paul DeJoria (John Paul Mitchell), Fred DeLuca (SUBWAY), Gary Heavin (Curves), Austin Lignon (CarMax), Jim McCann (1-800-Flowers) and so many more. They all had their trials starting their businesses and they share those, plus their successes. A must-read if you want to start your own business!
I have purchased about 10 of the Chicken Soup books. This one was the one that I liked the least. The stories were not as moving as the stories in the other books.
