A friend lent me this book and after looking at it I had to have one of my own! It's all you need to learn sewing basics or as in my case, a review of what I learned 20 years ago. Filled with easy projects that guide you each step of the way, colorful pages and excellent instructions make this a must have for anyone who sews from basic to advanced. It now replaces my 1960 McCalls sewing guide that is not only ugly now but very outdated. Glad to find it on my favorite place...Ebay!
Have not use but have looked at it can’t wait to try some ideas

I love the book. It is a great reference book for your sewing library. I first saw this book in the library and I was able to check it out. I fell so in love with this book. No it is not a sewing book for the beginner however from an experienced sewer stand point it well worth the money. Buy it...try it...you'll love it!
Ideal for a person on a budget. It not only has tips on how to make everything from placemats to lined draperies, but it has given me so many ideas for other items. If you enjoy sewing and design, but can't afford retail prices, this is the perfect book for you.
Don't let the title fool you...it is not a "course".....I wanted to learn to sew....and thought this book would be the answer....sure it shows you some simple know hows...but is not what I was looking for in "learning" the whole sewing process....I rate it average b/c the title is misleading...
