This is a great documentary depicting the brothers on the job in New York. One of the guys in my firehouse actually used to ride with Squad-252 in Bushwick. I've also met various members of Squad 252 who are shown in the movie, along with a few members of Rescue 1 in Manhattan. I've also drilled with Captain Metcalf (Squad 252) at the fire academy. Perfect description of the job though when Captain Metcalf describes everything about the job to the probies in scenes. It truly is a great homage to the brothers currently on the job and who have given their lives. It goes from showing various shots of what happens at The Rock (Fire Academy) and various alarms that Squad 252, Rescue 1 and Rescue 4 respond to. The documentary takes place through the various boroughs, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. It shows the members responding to an EMS alarm (Squad 252), it also shows Squad 252 responding to a 10-75 (working fire). Rescue 1 is also shown responding to various incidents, from 10-75's to scaffolding accidents and whatnot. Once again I can't stress it enough, a great documentary and truly depicts what the brothers do on the job everyday in New York and various agencies and departments throughout our entire nation!Read full review
I really liked the documentary. I was worried when I bought it because I really hadn't heard about it but I was very pleased. It talked about life 15 months following September 11, 2001 and how new the FDNY members are now. It also talked about the senior members taking their retirements now. It followed the firefighters through these times and showed the heartaches of the FDNY. I recommend the video to any fire or ems personnel that follows the FDNY or as a follow up to the DVD Documentary 9-1-1.
Great photography. It is especially interesting with a son on the job in NY and seeing firefighters I know. Shame there wasn't radio traffic audio.

The movie is pretty good. There is much more talking/interviews with FDNY firefighters than I was expecting. Total, I think they show 8-10 incidents where the department is on scene, from fires to ems to subway calls. Overall it was a nice documentary on the FDNY and well worth the money. I paid less than ten bucks for the dvd.
