The exercises are simple to follow and show modifications for beginners, intermediates, and advanced exercisers. Chris is encouraging and cheerful without being too perky. It's a good work out for beginners, but I found it a little on the easy side for me even with preforming the advanced moves. Still, it's great for those days when you don't have the energy for a difficult work out, but still won't to do something. The dvd consists of 6 segments concentrating on a different body region. Each segment consists of 3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes, of strength training, and 1 minute of abs. There is also a warm up and cool down. If you complete the entire dvd it's about 49 minutes, but you can also just choose the segments you want to do.

I had checked this out a few times from the local library, and I loved it so much I decided I wanted my own copy. This is an excellent workout--6 circuits focusing on different areas of the body, each with 3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes with weights, and 1 minute of abs. It's a good, challenging workout, but not at all discouraging--even as a beginner-intermediate exerciser, I could pretty much do everything. And if there are moves you don't like, nothing lasts longer than 3 minutes! I really like Chris Freytag and find her encouraging without being annoying.
I absolutely love this workout DVD. I have acquired a collection of workout DVDs to mix up my workouts. Especially since I no longer have a gym membership, I work out at home predominantly with DVDs. This DVD is so motivational and Chris Freytag is a bubbly motivational personality. I have a couple of Prevention DVDs with her as the trainer. She is awesome. It will definitely make you sweat!
I'd say its between good and excellent. Its 3 minutes of light cardio, 2 minutes of toning (weights), sometimes intense, and 1 minute of abs. I find this to be more of a toning dvd because the toning is more intense and the cardio is light. Also, it tones the abs. I use if for toning days and see the cardio as an extra change to the routine. I started with Leslie Sansone and soon stopped, cause she only uses about 4 or 5 moves. With Prevention, there are so many moves I cant count them.
