Alpha 2 was a staple in Street Fighter games
In the early to mid 90's, Capcom was in a seemingly perpetual cycle of rehashing Street Fighter II in countless different ways, unable to bring forward a new chapter in the series after bringing new characters and gameplay refinements. When people thought they'd get SFIII, they got another version of II. Then Alpha came out. Testing the waters with new characters, dropping some favorites but keeping it small. It was a smash hit and shortly after Alpha II was announced. This brought refinements and a delightfully expanded roster and remains a fantastic title to this day. You cannot go wrong with Alpha II. Alpha II' (Gold in the West) was a further refinement of II but was released as part of the Street Fighter Collection (with SFII) and thus, less copies are available and they fetch a much higher price. That difference in price isn't worth it, you'll have more than enough awesomeness with Alpha II.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
