Great read.
Nancy Drew series was a favorite of mine and this version was the original 1930's draft. The story line is a bit different from the rewrite from the late 50's/early 60's and although some of the story line is dated from that era, it is still a great read. In fact, reading both the original version as well as the updated version is on my list for each of the books in the initial series as it is interesting to compare the story lines.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

The old Nancy is the best Nancy!
I love the original Nancy Drew mysteries. The elegance of the language, life as it was in that era, combined with a solid mystery story. Nancy Drew was a role model for girls, demonstrating that girls could be brave, adventurous, and smart.
