I LOVE Madonna Grimes' routines! Although they mainly consist of squats and abs and there is little hip-hop it definitely gets the job done! There is no way you can get through the routine and not feel some effects. The other three routines seem a little boring and monotonous but if you need easy repetitive moves it will work.
This dvd is not for those with beginner endurance and strength. It is not for beginners to dance. It's just not for beginners. It assumes a knowledge of dance terms and dance moves that beginners obviously dont have, and does nothing to explain how to do the moves, you just have to watch and try and watch again and hope you're doing it right. I would recommend this for folks who have at least danced in the past or have a regular work out routine and want to change styles.
Wonderful workouts for belly dancers to reinforce lessons or after time away from belly dancing. Does require belly dance experience. I like LA Donna Grimes dance workouts, but her workouts on this DVD are the kind of exercise I get to avoid as a dancer- ie. Crunches- argh.

What a great DVD! Easy to follow, short but intense exercise reps. Includes 5 10-minute segements. Three of the segments are how-to's on belly dancing and the remaining two are hip-hop. All 5 offer an intense workout that makes you feel you were on the floor longer than 10 minutes. Would recommend to anyone wanting their daily workout but short on time.
After working out on the 1st 10 minute session. I was already tired and my muscles were sore. I enjoyed watching the rest of the sessions. I believe one day I will be able to do the rest. but I'm getting better everyday. My Husband said he can see a difference already.
