Terrific Cast. Terrific direction and production. Terrifically exciting and explosive. Once Upon a Time in Mexico is a fun film that is as exciting as it is engaging and visually spectacular. The cast is excellent and the plot is fun. Leaping back into action, gun-slinging guitar toting hero ‘El Mariachi’ is back in town as director Robert Rodriguez delivers the epic final chapter of his pulp western trilogy. Starring Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Johnny Depp, Mickey Rourke, Eva Mendes, Enrique Iglesias and William Defoe – Once Upon A Time is a perfect mixture of explosion and excitement
A fun, fast paced, slick movie with great looking leading men & women (ie: Antonio and Selma). Lots of action, dialog is fun, a little corney at times, but entertaining. I would recommend for some "no-brainer" movie entertainment.
I wasn't sure I would like this movie, but I was lucky that while traveling, the person sitting next to me had this movie loaded on their PSP and I was able to join them in watching it. Sands is a CIA agent working with the government to go after Barilo who wants to assasinate the Mexico President. Sands recruits one of his friends who will look forward to this showdown. I was surprised at the straight violence in this movie.
Great ending to a trilogy, good action, great cast, and awesome writing and directing! Antonio Banderas is the mysterious hero, Salma Hayek & Eva Mendez are drop dead gorgeous, and Johnny Depp is the man. A must see.
This is a crazy action movie, one of my favorite Rodriguez movies to date. Depp's performance is a tour de force and is one of his craziest performances yet. Highly recommended!
