Olympic figure skating champion Carol Heiss stars as Snow White, and the Three Stooges supply their legendary comic antics in this amusingly absurd rendition of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale. In this retelling, Snow White lives in the kingdom of Fortunia and is betrothed to handsome Prince Charming (Edson Stroll) in the nearby kingdom of Bravuria. When the princess's father dies, her evil stepmother takes steps to insure that Snow White never gains the throne. But the local executioner assigned the task of offing the princess enables her to escape into the forest, where she encounters Moe, Larry, and Curly Joe (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita), who are house-sitting for the Seven Dwarves while the Dwarves are off mining. The film sticks within the broad strokes of the much-beloved tale while interposing novel items such as Heiss figure skating and the adoption of Prince Charming by the Stooges. Director Walter Lang, most well-known for his lavish Hollywood musicals such as THE KING AND I and TIN PAN ALLEY, brings his successful career to a close on a note as distinctive as the report of a whoopee cushion with this humorously slapstick-addled fantasy.Product Identifiers

A good Family Film Featuring the Watered Down Three Stooges
A good, entertaining movie for the whole family. Nothing spectacular, but good to watch. I saw this movie back in the 1970's and was thrilled to see it again. Definitely, watching this as a kid was much better than seeing this today, as an adult, But isn't that true with most shows from our past? I guess the best thing to say is if your thinking this is going to be the crazy Three Stooges that we all know and love, you will be wrong. Its a much "watered down" version of them and probably done, back then, purposely since they are trying to please the kiddies as well as the adults and make it more mainstream. The jokes really aren't there and alas, Curly Joe just doesn't replace the original Curly, who had already gotten out of performing (illness and early death). For some reason, I felt Curly Joe, in this film was maybe a little more lovable and less funny. I do like Curly Joe in here just because of his tenderness. The cast is good and the evil characters are very engaging to say the least. The Count Oger looks VERY similar to the great Basil Rathbone of the times. It probably runs about a half an hour too long mostly due to the skating sequences throughout the film, which is quite boring, after a while. A Great Family Classic
This is a movie I remember seeing as a kid. It's the Three Stooges. While Curly Joe is no Curly Howard, it's still the best Three Stooges movie in my humble opinion. Amazing Family Movie
This is a great movie for the entire family to watch. It deviates somewhat from the traditional Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
