Its been over a decade since I've played this game, and since my brother stole the family copy I decided to pick up one for myself. The graphics honestly look pretty good for PS2 and the gameplay is just as fun as I remember it. The only complaint I could say is that the camera controls are a bit clunky, and also inverted. But bad camera controls are kinda to be expected with games from this era. All in all, there was definitely a reason it was one of my favorite games from my childhood.

I bought this game after spending many hours playing Worms Armageddon, and just finding it incredibly fun. But after playing this, I am highly disappointed. The graphics hold true to the worms series, but after that, it seems to be a very scaled back compared to the prior Worms. A much more limited arsenal, fewer teams, fewer worms per team, a much smaller soundset, and a lack of many custom options are some of the features to expect in this game. The whole fortress set up is just not a great addition to the game, and slows the pace of the game down. I do not recommend this game to anyone expecting to have an Armageddon experience again. It still has its moments of being enjoyable, so it isn't a bad addition to a collection. Just don't be expecting much.
Having played many of the Worms titles over the years I have to say that Worms: Forts Under Siege is the best. I didn't think that anything would beat out Worms 3D as the top title of the franchise. You can play up to four players and use a whole new array of off the wall weapons. I would rate this as a must have if you enjoy other Worms titles!
I can't tell you how many hours my buddy and I spent playing this game!
