SynopsisThe story of Edmund Dantes, self-styled Count of Monte Cristo, is told with consummate skill. The victim of a miscarriage of justice, Dantes is fired by a desire for retribution and empowered by a stroke of providence. In his campaign of vengeance, he becomes an anonymous agent of fate.
It's small and thick, which can make things a little more bulky when reading, but the compact size makes it easier to take with you places. Overall, the value is definitely there, and I prefer a small book over a larger one for myself.
I realized near the end of this edition that is an ABRIDGED version of the original book, even though it does not say so in this edition! I feel so ripped off now, and so disappointed.
