Budokai 2 is everything I want in a fighting game.
If you like DBZ, Budokai 2 is a fantastic fighting game. It offers a slightly alternate storyline than the series and a fun, board-game style component in between battles. Furthermore, once you beat the main storyline, you are called to revisit it time and time again to collect the dragon balls and make a wish. I'll be honest, I am not a huge fan of the newer Dragonball games. I don't much like flying all over the map to find my enemy to then fight them. Budokai and Budokai 2 allows you the same chance to fight with and a against your favorite characters, without a lot of the newer components. It took me months to find a copy of this game which I consider to be a good indication of it's popularity.
