This book I accidentally stumbled upon, Looking for a book I was read to as a boy , The The Real Dairy of a Real Boy by Henry Shute Which by the way is Excellent better than Mark Twain. However this book took me by pleasant surprise and is a Wonderful trip down to early Americana IN the 1800 about a boy and his family setting up roots in early New England Settlement the hardships they incountered, the joys, and acheivements of a yesterdays pioneers , The tools they used ,how they used them and why, also about the earliest real americans the Indians they came to befriend, and how they establihed repore with them and its a Love story of a Young boy growing into a man a falling for a church going young lass from Boston, whos visiting her aunt being smitten by this young lad, EXCELLENT
This is the best book. My husband read it to my sons and we have given it to our nephews. I will be buying several for our grandsons.
