Bug! is a rather interesting game. It is an early experiment in 3D platforming. This game appeared before Mario 64 emerged and set the tone for "open-world" 3D platform gaming. Instead, Bug! stays truer to the 2D sidescroller roots but adds the third dimension. Not only can you move left to right, but also up and down. You can even crawl up the walls! Unlike later 3D platforming games, however, Bug! only allows you to move along a fixed linear path. This makes for a different experience and gives it a unique feel of being a mix between 2D and 3D elements. On top of that, the gameplay is insanely difficult. The levels are HUGE with vast maze-like structures. There are multiple branching paths and it is easy to get lost. The main character is basically a clone of 90's characters like Sonic and Bubsy. He is somewhat annoying, constantly spouting catch phrases. Unfortunately, the game is very hard -- sometimes frustrating. A save feature would have been nice, along with more checkpoints throughout the giant levels. But overall, a solid early 3D platform game!Read full review

I just got this game for my Saturn. It is complete, although the case is cracked. Damn this game is difficult. Not many people mention the difficulty, maybe they are pros. But this is one of the hardest games I've ever played. The character is lovable and the graphics are very good, especially for it's time. Controls are good, but can get questionable at times. A fun game, but too hard for me. While I had no trouble with Clockwork Knight or Rayman on Saturn, I found this game much harder than those, and I may sell it unless I can find some codes to get to the next levels as I have played for days and can only get to the second stage. A fun game, but extremely difficult and I would recommend it to those that are very good at action/platform games.

Bug is one of the better games for the Sega Saturn. Bug is pretty difficult, and most of the levels are huge. All of the levels have tons of secrets and bonuses so they can take a long time to beat. The thing that makes the levels so huge is the fact that Bug is a 3D game, but unlike other 3D platform games, Bug also plays like a 2D game. The bosses are also challenging and interesting. The game can be humorous at times as well, but it can also get annoying. Bug has several power-ups that he can pick up that will greatly help you (although it is still very hard). I would definitely recommend Bug because it is one of the best games on the Sega Saturn. Pros: - Huge levels Cons: - Can be very difficult - Levels tend to drag on
A lot of people overlook this game for Clockwork Knight for the Sega Saturn but for me I actually enjoyed this game over Clockwork Knight. The gameplay is very unique and easy to get used to and the graphic are nice. Its not the same old platformer type of game, its mixed with some 3D elements as well as 2D.

This gem was one of the first 3D platforming games and it only came out on the Sega Saturn home console. This game is an old school platformer that has you collecting Gems and jumping on the baddies. The game has very tight controls and should be simple enough for the most casual gamer. Some of the later levels can become a little harder, but not too hard that it becomes frustrating. Each of the 18 levels are very large and take some time to get through. This game is fun for the whole family and is strongly recommended.
