Do not buy from Detroit axle
Put the rack in. Immediately on start up have 2 new codes. Stability and hill assist. Ok, programming should take care of that. Get an alignment done, take it to the dealer. They call to tell me it’s programmed but the lights are still on. Hmm, I tell them to look in to it. They call back. I either got the wrong one or it’s bad. Meaning the electronics. Fabulous. Call Detroit axle they say they’ll call me back. Ok. Next day I call again and they say well we can send you a new one but we need a deposit. What! So I have to give them a deposit after paying over $400 for a new one, pay for 2 Alignments, pay for programming twice and pay for the dealer to diagnose that the rack is bad. And Detroit axle will not help at all. Apparently like other businesses they don’t test the electronics when rebuilding. They only change the seals which is good but when these units are known for failing electronically you would think that would be tested also.
