Beware 520 byte sector size
Product description did not indicate these were NETAPP drives. Even though these are Samsung branded, the drives were formatted as 520 byte sector size, which is a proprietary format used by NETAPP appliances and unusable in any system except NETAPP storage devices. I had to setup a Linux server just to get access to a utility that could reformat the drives as 512 byte sector size. To be clear, a RAID controller will not recognize a 520 byte sector drive, only 512 byte sectors are readable, and both a RAID card and Windows are unable to rebuild the sector size. Only Linux has a utility to do this and it's very time consuming.
