Great For Old Eyes
This is a really good improvement over the OEM sight, IMHO. I doubt that I will need this sight for really dark situations, but you never know. I do know that now at the indoor range where I usually shoot, I can see the white dot much better than I could the OEM sight, even though it had had red florescent paint applied. I tried the XS Sight in my walk-in closet with the door closed and the light off. Man, what a difference. The darker it is, the better this thing shows. I could see the sight well, but not the gun. At least in a dark house or on a really dark street, I would know pretty much where the barrel is pointing for sure. To me, another major plus is that you don't need to worry about batteries like in a laser. The sight on my gun pretty much just fell off when I removed the roll pin, so I don't think there was any factory sealer on it. After removing the old sight, the installation of the XS took about 15 mins, including the time it took to clean the area and let it dry. The instructions were good and having the roll pin punch and some blue locktite included with the sight was a great aid to the process. I did contact the seller once, early in the order process and their customer service was excellent. My question was answer promptly and accurately. I would diffidently recommend both this seller and this sight to anyone wanting a more usable sight than the original.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

alotof money, but what else is there?
Don't go out and buy blue Locktite, and a 1/16th punch, it comes with it. The punch that comes with it is perfect for knocking the pin out, it seems smaller then my 1/16th. It fits right through the hole. Buy a much larger punch to knock the pin in. Clean the old Locktite off before install, rubbing alcohol works great, also works on clean up when your done. The new pin seemed too big so don't lose the original. Start the pin in the sight before putting the site on, put it in until it almost sticks out on the inside, makes install a lot easier. Put on the blue Locktite, set the sight on and knock the pin through with the bigger punch till it's almost flush. Clean up the oozing Locktite. Bracing the gun is very important, don't waste your time till you get the gun well braced and stable. Not impressive at first, but the darker it gets the brighter the sight gets. XS Sight for LCR
With addition of this sight I now have night/daytime sighting capability. I was always uncomfortable with the ramp sight and new I would either go with a fiber optic or night sight. XS sight gave me both a hi visibility night sight, plus the white sight for excellent daylight acquisition. Fits LCR 22WMR just fine....
Not sure why this says for LCR 357/38 only.... I took a chance with my wife’s LCR 22mag and it fits perfect. POI is spot on at 7 to 10yds averaging about a 2” to 4” Group with Hornady C.D 45gr HP & Gold Dot 40gr HPSB, this is firing strong side one handed getting even better groups 2 handed.
