Sticks so good that it bends stainless steel
I'm using this weld to stick the base of a solar tracking linear actuator to an aluminium frame. The weld is so strong that the bolt that I use to hold the actuator in place curved outwards due to the pull of the actuator (if the weld was weak, the base would have simply ripped off). I estimated the tensile force to be around 300 psi, far lower than the rating, but non-marginal. Bolting it would have entailed lifting the whole 20 lb setup - tedious, especially when it's on a rooftop far from any electrical plugs. Do note that you absolutely need to follow the steps - wash the surface with clean water (I used MilliQ water from a lab), degrease it (70% isopropyl alcohol), abrade it (120 grit sandpaper), rinse with compressed air and repeat the cycle for good measure. If you would like to know why these steps are necessary, you can always do a quick readup on epoxy adhesion theory. Great investment! Almost as good as welding itself.

For the toughest projects
When you need to really create the strongest bond this is the solution. Once mixed in correct proportions JB Weld will bond just about any 2 materials. I have used it on metal glass and plastic. Just be sure to score the surfaces! It does not require clamps except for extreme applications. It comes in a variety of types such as quick set or slow set . I repurposed tons of stuff with JB Weld and never had a failure. 10 stars 🌟!

One of the best
This is one of the best epoxies out there, I haven't tried all of them as there are so many. This is in a different category from epoxy paste, clay and stick epoxies. Quick set epoxies are in a separate category since they just aren't as strong but handy for situations that others won't work.

I was estatic!
I fell on my Ikea metal frame cloths hamper with canvas bag.. I busted it pretty bad at the joint connection parts. I've had this many years and it wasn't cheap. It was broken at 4 of the top and bottom corners making it unusable. And Ikea has a different version that didn't really have great reviews for $36. I research and could find no hamper that seemed reliable from the reviews. I thought maybe glue, but knew that may not hold. So I googled how to glue metal to metal. And up popped JB Weld. I was so excited that I may be able to save my sturdy reliable hamper on wheels. So for under $5 I ordered the glue. I reattached all the broken off pieces (but used pressure to hold them in place) and let it dry for 24 hours without touching it. Waaa Laaa!!!!! It's as good and strong as the day I bought it a hundred years ago :P This glue is AMAZING!

First time using this product. Worked in well ventilated area the fumes were not too bad. I let set overnight and seems to adhered very effectively. I used this on a jewelry repair and to repair a old spoon both should have been soldering projects so waiting to see how effective it actually is, otherwise very easy. I do recommend this for metal repairs.

JB Weld (black & red)
After watching/reading multiple tests, comparisons & reviews online, I went with JB weld. I was surprised at the strength of it on Youtube videos up against other epoxy so I bought it & it does a damn good job for what I needed it for. Not to mention it has a tensile strength of 3960 PSI & can withstand temps of up to 550°F. I bought an extra one just to have as an extra.

I never had good luck with JB Weld until I found out, I didn't allow enough curing time.
After trying to use JB Weld over the years, I never understood why they said it could repair engine blocks and such. I never had much luck using it. It was brittle and broke easily. Then I discovered, after accidentally allowing to cure over night, it's really strong, tough and just about like steel. Just let it cure overnight and you will be impressed with it's strength.

We live on a ranch and also make custom, one of a kind knives. We always have this product on hand and use it wherever it fits. Alternator mount and bracket broke on tractor and used J-B Weld for an emergency repair and the repair laster for over a year. Wouldn't want to be without it.
