A Shaver, Not the Second Coming...
After everything I read, watched, and eventually tried- it's just a foil shaver. A very well marketed foil shaver. That said, does it live up to the hype? Yes, it seems to shave better than my $49 Braun from college. It doesn't work well on longer hair (10 day), but it does seem to do a middling to above average on 3-day stubble. Best thing about it? No razor burn, redneck, and fewer minor flesh wounds. When all is said and done, this is a quality product with a hefty price tag. Bottom line: Moderate expectations--it won't perform miracles. From the 7 series to this 9, wonderful experience! 1st is the sound, this new version is soooo much quieter, the first thing in the morning news should not be drowned out by the sawing of metal blades being drug across one face, vast improvement over earlier versions.
