    Works but not cheap

This product works very well but in order to repair cracks in a trailer shower tub I needed to buy like 7 or 8 packages to do the job. It comes with a 5" strip of fiberglass matting but the actual epoxy would cover quite a bit more than that. I tried to stretch it a bit but because of the fast setting of the product it was difficult. I have no problem with the end result, it worked well for me but there was a learning curve and I had to make several buys to finish the project.

Garbage product. Don't waste your money $$$$$$$

After mixing both parts together per the directions, I applied the compound to the damaged portion of the steel enameled tub (almond color). This was after I had roughed up the surface with 180 grit sandpaper and wiped the area down with lacquer thinner. By the next morning, the compound still had not dried at all ! In addition, during the mixing process, I noticed that the almond color in the small packet was mostly dried up and was very heavy when I attempted to remove it from it's packet so it was VERY difficult trying to blend it into the two part compound I had just mixed in order to get the proper shade. This all happened in minutes, so there was no delay in application. I had the distinct impression that this was an older package and was perhaps well beyond it's "sell by" date. The stuff I received was garbage. Don't waste your money.

  • Worked very well!

It was exactly what I needed for repairing a bathroom sink around the drain. I removed the drain, sanded down the area around the drain hole and it worked perfectly. This was a plastic/gel coated composite plaster type typical sink. I thought the Almond was lighter than I had expected. You have to follow the directions very carefully when using this and be well prepared as to how to use it and preparation. Have a clock nearby for timing the amount of time you can work with it. I stayed under four minutes. It sets up with a nice smooth coat. It is thin in consistency, so be prepared for that.

  • Does not dry opaque white (i.e. if black is underneath it's still visible)

High quality stuff, easy to apply as long as you think it through and put some tape around the area and make sure it doesn't run too much. But my porcelain chip had black underneath it, and the black is still visible through a pretty thick layer of this "white" patch. So now I need to find some good white paint as well...

  • Tub repair

Work exactly as described!!! If mixed, and done properly, it makes for a great repair!!! A lot of people say it was still tacky, after 3 days, but I did the repair 3 hours ago, and it has already set up, and isn't tacky at all!!! I would definitely recommend this product for any tub repair!!! Thanks for a great product!!!

  • Nice color match

Only needed a small amount, should have tried to save the remaining material. The directions had you mixing the total amount so proportions were correct, however I believe that you could have saved any that you didn’t need. Whatever.......$11.00 for a dime sized repair. I had a almond color and it matched great. It’s self leveling so don’t worry too much about brushing it real pretty.

  • good stuff

this stuff did a nice job patching a small hole in my shower, but not having worked with it before, and nervous about it drying too fast, it looks Ok. its not as smooth a finish, but thats my fault. at least its now "whitish" and not a black hole anymore!! i'd use this stuff again if i needed it.

  • Works nicely

Mixing the white with just a little bit of almond color it was possible to almost perfectly match the color of our fiberglass tub/shower. By using a jeweler's scale it was also possible to get the perfect weight/weight ration of the colored and clear components since I did not use the entire content of each packet. (Way too much resin to accomplish the repair. In my case I was repairing a vertical surface and had to wait for the setting process to proceed until the repair material no longer ran. This meant there was a relatively short working time. Bottom line: I would buy this again if needed.

  • Does the job well!

Two of my bathrooms had many hairline cracks that were leaking below. I drilled small holes to stop the cracks and then used a can of crack foam to fill them up by sticking nozzle of the foam into the holes and it filled the void. Then I cut off the excess foam after it dried and expanded. I sanded and cleaned the area around the cracks and holes and then opened this kit. Again, the cracks were not large so I did not need to use the fiberglass that came with it. I just mixed the expoy and covered it all up in both tubs. The stuff dried rock hard. Now I am using a latrger rustoleum kit to dot he whole tub.
