This compilation when released, not only was long overdue, but also suffered from a lack of promotion from ZTT for reasons best known to themselves ! However what it does deliver is a supburb selection of 12" mixes (that either were hard to find, or if you had managed to aquire, are probally not now in pristine condition). Out of the 18 tracks, 7 were released as 12" vinyl (Relax - Sex Mix, Two Tribes - Hibakusha Mix, Welcome To The Pleasuredome - Fruitness Mix, Rage Hard - Broad, Watching The Wildlife - Die Letzten Der Menschheit, Warriors of the Wasteland - Attack Full Mix & War - Hidden). 1 was a b side of another 12" (Don't Lose What's Left) Of Your Little Mind. Disneyland was on a 1984 ZTT Compilation (note the same elephant sound effects used, are also found on Propagandas Duel)! Also included a few examples of Post 2001 remixes that have followed, namely Rage Hard - Freddy Bastone Mix, The Power Of Love (93) - Alternative Mix, Two Tribes - 808 State Remix, & Relax - Peter Rauhofers Doomsday Club Mix (Non of which generate the same depthness & rawness of the originals of the 80's remixes - shame). But as a bonus, are 2 tracks, Welcome To The Pleasurdome - Escape Act Video Mix & yet another version of Warriors Of The Wasteland - Attack Mix, but this version has overdubbed Guitar featuring (the late) Gary Moore. I have aways maintained that to get the best out of FGTH you (must &), should listen to sample the delights of these extended versions to discover the true quality & production which Trevor Horn excelled in, whereby in just casually hearing the 7" mixes never did justice to a truly ground breaking 80's Pop/Rock group. This Group Lead the 12" Remixes (& The Re-Remixes) - others soon followed ! This Album gives you another chance to hear them second time round - don't miss it.Read full review

This 2001 ZTT album is like being present at music's equivalent of the Universe's Big Bang - the birth of the 12 inch single remix. The 16 songs on the 2 CD album are like a familiar friend that suddenly does something quite out of character, like Warriors of the Wasteland remixed to sound like guitar hero stadium rock. These remixes are no expense spared and at times are rich in ideas at others, they sound a bit bankrupt. But all are a testament to the quality of Frankie's songwriting skills. These are works born out of a pioneer spirit of mid 80's remix sound and if nothing else are important in pop's ever growing portfolio.
If like me you were looking for all the mixes you could from the Frankie records, but have long since lost your cassette or vinyl, look no further. This, together with the other ZTT 12" double CD will take you back years.
I like the idea of having the CD full of 12 inch versions.Really pleased with it.The tracks are long and there are a couple of different versons on there.Would fully recommend if you are a Frankie fan.Being also I was a youngster in the 80's makes it that just abit more special.
