Some of you may prefer Batman Returns on the SNES for being a great beat 'em up, and that's cool. It's a great game I agree. There's nothing like the original Batman for the NES. The music is... amazing. I know that sounds silly considering it's 8 bit, but yeah it's awesome! In this game you of course play Batman, you have four different weapons you use, a batarang, a gun and some kind of weapon that shoots three projectiles. It's a pretty tough game. The good thing is you can constantly continue, but if you fall in the wrong place it can cost you a lot of progress. The most fun aspect of this game is that you can leap off the walls, and in a narrow space you can ascend pretty quickly. This game gets very difficult fast. It only consists of five stages, with lots of environmental obstacles, jumping enemies, robots that drop things from the ceiling and all kinds of other killer obstacles. This is very challenging but still very fun game even after almost 20 years.Read full review
While not an easy game to play, it is fun and hopefully I can get better in playing it so I'll keep it at least for now. One real problem I have with the game is with the cartridge specifically the front sticker label and as result of certain issues, I will need to invest in getting a front replacement sticker label for the game. Sincerely, Kevin Stroik

I've been an avid gamer for the last 20+ years, unfortunately I missed out on this gem of a game as I grew up with the SNES. But now that I'm adult I finally enjoy this great title. More over, I highly recommend visiting Omnomax for your classic gaming and comic needs.

Tough just like the name sake Batman on the original Nintendo is an outstanding but difficult game, the damage taken can be quite unforgiving by the multiple enemies everywhere. It is fun but tasking at the same time grab your favorite add-on cart and put in some codes.

I don't know if it is the age of the game or what, but it is glitchy. Works sometimes, than others not at all. We have cleaned it a few times. My son likes playing it but has only gotten to play it a few times before it stops working again.

If you like retro platformers, look no further. This is one of the best action platformers of the 8-bit era. Granted there are only a handful of moves/weapons (3 weapons and a punch), but each of them are used/needed for various situations throughout the game. The game itself plays a little like the Ninja Gaiden games and is very challenging, but not as difficult as said series. The dark moody graphics are pretty good for the NES and the music is very catchy. Boss fights are typical pattern based fights and require both memorization and skill to defeat. My favorite part of the game involves the superb wall-jumping mechanic which is used throughout the game in some very tricky scenarios. Controls are spot on and when you die you just have to blame yourself. If you are in to good Batman games, classic platformers, or just want a plain good ole fashioned challenge, take it for a spin - you likely won't be disappointed.Read full review

This game is compelling and challenging. Graphics and music are stellar, and coming back to this after 30 years makes me equally engaged. Highly recommended!

Batman for good old 8-bit Nintendo, is easily one of the best titles of its time, and if you ask me, one of the TOP 3 games ever published for NES. Gameplay is perfect, controls just feel right and there's nothing left to improve. Graphics look great, dark and atmospheric, and are about as good as possible on NES hardware. Then there's music. It's so awesome I can't even describe it. It's been at least 15 years since I last played the game, and i could still recall those tunes. To sum it up, long time ago, Sunsoft created something that every NES owner should own: Batman for Nintendo Entertainment System.
Love this game. I'm a middle thirties guy who grey up playing this game. Not much to scream about if you don't fit that category. Still, very good game for the NES. Graphics could be better, but like I said, it's original NES. It's a side-scroller game like the old Mario games and is pretty challenging. Expect to die a couple times if you've never played before. The only thing I would wish this game had was more levels. Only five levels, with a boss at the end of each one. In all, solid game that brings back a lot of nostalgia and memories.
Great game, great box, and an even greater manual to go along with it! I’m very pleased with the product overall. I’d give this product 5 batarangs for its lovely box and the inclusion of the manual alone!
