The youTube videos on replacing this part makes it look so-o-o easy. For us, it wasn't (but the video had it so the repair man didn't have to fight with the location of the washer, it was in the middle of a room-which ours isn't). We eventually got the part installed and are now able to wash our laundry. It was way cheaper than calling out the repair man, but now I realize why repairmen/women get the big bucks. It was great to be able to have access to the part at a reasonable price, something even local repair shops couldn't beat.

shipping was great, very quick. price was very good. however, the plug connector was different from the original one to the washing machine. so I had to cut the wires and splice the old connector to the new lid switch. not a big deal but an unexpected issue. I gave it a good quality because other than the problem with the plug connector not being OEM like, the actual gray plastic lid switch is working well.

Switch delivered very quickly. Fit Whirpool that called for a slightly different switch. This one fit as advertised. Watched a YouTube video and replaced it myself. Thank you.

The Lid switch is a easy repair. When ordering the Lid switch, make sure you look closely at the connector to make sure it’s the same one as yours. 1. Unplug Washer 2. Remove the 2 screws holding the control Panel. 2 more screws in the back. Lift control panel up, and out of the way. 3. Unplug Lid switch connector, push it down through top. 4. Get screw driver, pry the 2 spring clips on each side. This will free the washer body. Pull washer body away from the wall. Unscrew Ground screw(green wire) then the 2 screws holding lid switch. There’s a clip holding the lid switch wires, pull up on the clip to remove the lid switch wires. 5. Install new Lid switch, by screwing the 2 screws into the lid switch, screw in green ground wire to washer body. Put Lid switch wires under clip. Push lid switch connector up through washer body. Push washer body back into place, make sure you get both sides of the washer locked in. Press the 2 washer spring clips back in place. Connect lid switch connector. Screw control panel back on, plug washer back in. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour if it’s your first time doing it.Read full review

Just what I needed and the price was right. To be used to turn on a light to let me know from a distance that the automatic chicken pen gate has closed.
