Please understand that the ratings are based on a game form 2001, by todays standards the graphics are a bit muddy and since they are not in HD, makes looking at this with an open mind, a requirement. That being said, I think horror games are best played on older systems with older games because this pretty much was the tail end of the golden age of them. In illbleed, you find yourself trapped in a very sinister carnival/movie themed type setting where you and your friends originally try and win a gonzo load pf money, but what starts out as laughs and giggles quickly turns to, mutants, traps and lots of bloody death. It's a good entry into the survival horror genre, and fans of 80's horror flicks will certainly feel right at home with it's over the top characters and excessive amount of carnage. Rated M because there is many questionable goings on to be found in the world of Illbleed.Read full review

I own two copies of this legendary game that show cases the power of the dreamcast. The enemies especially bosses show great detail and actually rival the xbox 360 and ps3 graphics. I'm not even joking. This game shows off the power of the Dreamcast. Sure you will see some minor graphic issues such as the shadows looking a little blocky looking but this game came out what in 2001 or 2002? This game is 13 years old and still looks beautiful right now. Keep in mind the Dreamcast can't do 720p/1080p graphics but the graphics are beautiful none the less. There's 6 stages in this game and each stage feels like it's own short game. Most of the stages can be beaten in an hour or less when you play through the game again. Which you will definitely play through this game again because it's fun and one of the weirdest(in a cool way) games you will ever play. The people that made this game also gave us Blue Stinger which is another game I highly recommend. Read full review

Illbleed is a survival horror video game developed by Crazy Games (formerly known as "Climax Graphics") and published by Jaleco for the Sega Dreamcast. It was released in Japan on March 29, 2001 and later in North America on April 25, 2001. Despite being financially unsuccessful, this game received a worldwide cult following for its notable combination of nonlinear gameplay elements (e.g. trap detection) and bizarre B-movie style comedy horror theme, dialogue and voice acting.
Crazy, violent, and funny... And that's only in the first hour of playing. Illbleed is truly a unique take on a dying genre of survival. Never again will we experience such breathtaking gameplay mechanics. With good graphics for its, time, Illbleed is just as ridiculous as it is challenging. Surely anyone who plays this hidden gem will say there's no other experience quite like it.
