"Miles Davis' 'Sketches of Spain [Bonus Tracks]' CD, released in November 1999 by Columbia, is a jazz classic featuring a stellar lineup of musicians including Jimmy Cobb, Jimmy Cleveland, Paul Chambers, Johnny Coles, and Elvin Jones. Produced by Irving Townsend and Teo Macero, this stereo recording showcases the talents of Miles Davis on trumpet, with a run time of 60 minutes. The CD comes in very good plus condition and includes bonus tracks, making it a must-have for jazz enthusiasts and collectors alike."
I never thought I could compare a cd to a vinyl album, but I find these hi-resolution SACD's to outperform my cherished records. They have excellent dynamics and are perfectly quiet when they're supposed to be.
Classic Jazz Album. Not typical of the era this album, as you'd expect, introduced Spanish rhythms and melodies that have been reinterpreted by Miles Davis and an all-star backing band.
