  • Great album by A3!

Power in the Blood is another great example of A3's (A.K.A. Alabama 3 outside the U.S.) talent. The title song "Power in the Blood" as well as the upbeat "R.E.H.A.B." are undeniably the best tracks on the album. The smooth beat of "Reachin'" is simply addictive, as are the funky beats of "Year Zero" and "Yellow Rose". The country-rock styles of "Woody Guthrie", "Let the Caged Bird Sing", and "Bullet Proof" are a great complement to the album that you can't help but listen to a few times over, especially "Bullet Proof". The lively rhythm of "The Moon Has Lost the Sun" is another high point in this album. The pulsating, thumping beat of "Strobe Life" will make you feel like you're dancing in a nightclub. The mix of sounds in "Lord Have Mercy" makes it unique but very likeable. All the good things said above, however, the tracks "Two Heads", "Badlands", and "Come on Home" seem to lack that traditional A3 style and are the only drawbacks to this great album. A must-have for any A3 fan!
