I'm currently listening to this CD Bob Dylan John Wesley Harding on SA through an Oppo BDP 83 SA player w/ a Marantz receiver and Pioneer studio monitors from the late 70's. The music sounds far more 3 dimensional than the MP3 and other sources I have heard in the past. I do not have the money to purchase a groovy German Moving Coil Cartridge so this is how I currently enjoy high end audio. The inflections in Dylan's voice are far more detectable on SA versus a normal CD. If you want to have an amazing trip down memory lane with a surreal audio experience this SA CD is priced well and I will purchase more from this seller. Thanks! PS If you can go Optical Out from your SA player you will get a slight audio quality bump in the positive direction. A note to the younger lovers of Dylan. He wrote "All along the Watch Tower", NOT Jimi Hendrix. It is on this SACD in all it's virginal glory. Here what Jimi heard, that moved him to record it himself! Really neat that the sacd plays in more than that format of player. I did not have a great copy of the album on vinyl to compare it to but it did sound great on my sony sacd player.
Great music CD

I always thought John Wesley Harding started off a little slow and only when it hit the album's masterpiece The Ballad Of Frankie Lee And Judas Priest did it really take off. I don't find myself going back to this one as much as some of my other Dylan but on the rare occasion that I do pull it off the shelf I find it very enjoyable. 4 fun folk lovin' stars.
