The best live covers of some great Dylan tunes on one album. While many of these versions have since been released on various live albums, it's nice to have them all in the same place. "It Takes A lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry" from 6/10/73 with Dickey Betts and Butch Trucks is a highlight for sure.

The Grateful Dead bring their own unique style to some of BOb Dylans greatest compositions. The play list is exceptional and the sound is fantastic. If you are a fan of either Bob Dylan or the Grateful Dead you will enjoy this but if you are a fan of both Bob Dylan AND the Grateful Dead you will LOVE this. Much better than the recordign of Dylan and the Dead playing together. Five star rating for one of the best discs that I own!
Jerry Garcia doesn't sing on most of these songs, so save your money for the GARCIA PLAYS DYLAN cd, where he does all the singing and, on most cuts, the Grateful Dead is replaced by Jerry's other side bands. MUCH BETTER!!! I have never considered Bob Weir much of a singer and his singing of most of the Dylan songs, on this cd, is just awful!!
