Orchestral version lacks excitement of concert band version
I've played trumpet in the concert band version and have listened to concert band versions. This recording is technically fine and of good quality. To me, this full orchestra version, as a result of the full string sections, is overly dramatic, while ironically, lacking the drama and excitement of the concert band versions I've heard on You Tube and, for example-the "Banda de Lalin" website.
