I must admit that this review will be biased. I think that Married with Children was the best television show ever. Now, don't start naming Rosanne, The Simpsons, and all those others- MwC was on long before any of them, and made it possible for those shows to get the green light. Al Bundy and his family near single-handedly put Fox on the tv map. The first season introduces us to Al, his wife Peggy, children Kelly and Bud, and their newlwed neighbors Steve and Marcy. The casting was excellent, with even the children showing real talent, and there was obvious chemistry between the actors. Amanda Bearse (Marcy) went on to direct the show in later years, with Ed O'Neil (Al) assisting and writing. The episodes in this season include The Poker Game, in which Al takes Steve in a weekly match, and Peggy Sue Got a Job, where Peg becomes the first Bundy wife to get a job, at the urging of feminist Marcy. Also included on the second DVD is the reunion show, an hour-long reminiscence with the cast, featuring (of course) highlights from over the years and some moments where the cast shows their love and respect for each other, which was obvious to me in how well the show was made. I don't wish to ramble any longer, so I will close by saying that if you are a fan of MwC then you should do as I am and purchase every season and the two Outrageous Episodes on DVD (let's temporarily forget about Seven, shall we? ). If you are not a fan, well, what is wrong with you? Watch the show!Read full review

From 1987 to 1997, Fox-TV documented the adventures of the Bundys--a comically distorted view of the typical American family. Patriarch Al (Ed O'Neill) is a former high school football star who has been relegated to selling women's shoes. Peggy is his overly amorous, high-haired wife with a penchant for leopard skin clothes. Daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate) is a ditzy party girl, while son Bud (David Faustino) would do anything to make his virginity a thing of the distant past.
We love everything about this show. Bud want "it" all the time but can never get "it". Al is a poor shoe salesman that is always broke. Kelly is the teenage daughter who is with a new guy or two every single night. Peggy is the wife who always take Al's money and spends it on her self and never cooks anythinh or buys any groceries, she always wants "it" but Al can't stand the thought. VERY HILARIOUS !!!
An excellent start to your collection
