The other reviewers have already covered the quality of animation etc, so I'd like to discuss the different versions of the box set you can find on ebay. I have a couple of the different versions. The first box set I would like to discuss is the Hong Feng Entertainment release. This release is a 2 disc set on 2 DVD 9 discs (Dual Layer Discs). The packaging is a fold out digipak of high quality. This release has both English and Japanese audio tracks. This release suffers from really bad video compression because they squeezed all 29 episodes on 2 discs. So the video is blocky and pixelated especially during some of the more intense and action packed scenes (I like to note that the compression is more obvious on an HDTV). The second box set I would like to discuss is the more common Manga Video release. This release comes in another fold out digipak case of high quality and comes with a poster of the front cover. This release also has both English and Japanese audio tracks. This release is the definitive version to own because the 29 episodes span 4 dual layer DVDs, has been digitally mastered, so the video compression is minimal and on an HDTV looks wonderful. I would recommend the Manga Video release to any collector and fan of the Street Fighter series. There is also another release of this box set which I don't own. It's a three disc box set, so I would imagine the video quality is better than the 2 disc box set, would recommend that any casual fan of the series pick up the cheaper box sets. And would recommend the Manga Video release to any hardcore fan of the series. I hope this information will help you decide which version of the box set to buy, because like I said there a usually 2-3 different versions of this box set an ebay at any given time.Read full review
Shipped quickly and packed securely with multiple layers. Item in excellent condition, better than expected, including case, inserts, and all 4 discs which are nearly flawless. Works properly. Thanks

To be honest the beginning was kind of slow, but as I watched more I had to watch all of it! Character development pretty much is limited to Ken and Ryu and not all of the Street Fighter gang appeared, *sniff*, but I was satisfied with the ones that did appear. The art is not as crisp as today's anime, but that's like not playing classic games because they don't have today's graphics. Definitely a must buy for someone looking for anime to add to their collection. I would also like to say be careful in purchasing DVDs on ebay, especially anime. There are many *bleep*s out there that sell bootleg copies. I am too inexperienced to give advice to this, but if you go to the reviews and guidelines section of ebay and type anime or bootleg you will find a number of good guides on bootleggers and their productsRead full review
this is great for fans of ryu & ken. it’s well-made and a fun look at the duo as teenagers still learning their way through the martial arts. this is probably my favorite street fighter extended storyline outside of the video games.

The series is entertaining. I'm surprised at how low a cost you can find the series brand new, unopened. The fight sequences are full of action. Very good animation. The animation is Japanese, not an American-style cartoon, which for me made it much better. It is an adult oriented series (some adult language). The only thing that was just a littel annoying was that the intro and end credits do seem like thay are long and they play between every episode. But I guess that provides tinme for bathroom breaks or even making a PB&J sandwich between episodes...
